area of Lagos,Rasheed Opeyemi Abbas, an Alfa at Ajegunle area along Lagos Abeokuta Expressway, Lagos who claims to be an Imam and uses his medicine to cure madness.
Akorode Wasiu, a native doctor of Sango Otta, Ogun state who cliams to use his to cure stroke and asthma.
Their arrest last weekend followed an information received by the Commissioner of Police Umar Manko and a follow up to the recent parade by the CP of some human parts dealers in Lagos.
The follow up led the Officer -in-Charge of the Lagos State Police Command Special Anti Robbery Squad, SARS Abba Kyari to a Superintendent of Police SP thus went after the remaining suspects who were on the run.
Thus, Kunle was arrested. His confession led to the arrest of others.

Tell us about your self?
Ogunshola Olakunle Afolabi,I am 26. From Egba-Ado South, Ilaro Ogun State. I sell herbs at Ilepo Oja in Lagos and I live at 14 Amoke Alashila, Aboru, Lagos.I’m married with child.
Why were you arrested?
I also sell human parts. I get supply from Alfa Waheed Ajigbotohun. I got skull, meat (flesh) from him. Those are the ones I request and fresh meat can be from any part of the body. I pay between N6,000 toN10,000. I buy 5 to 10 heads. At times, I got half head. Waheed works in cemetery at Joju area of Sango Otta. I resell to customers in parts at N1,000 and above. My family does not know I’m into it. I started buying it last year. Other herbs sellers with me are not aware. It is only one trader at Ile-Ekpo that sells it. His name is Lukeman aka ‘Osha’.
You were said to have cut fresh human hands?
Yes I got hand direct between cele and super bus stops near Abule Egba. I saw a dead body on the road. Some parts were not there. Only the hand that I severred out. It was between 9pm and 10pm, I saw the body between 6pm and 7 pm while I was in a commercial bus. I went back there I used cutlass to cut off the hand.
It was not far from my shop. My customers are Alfa’s, Pastor’s and Native Doctor’s. I have sold to two Pastors in pieces. I also sell full heads to them. Alfas use to buy in pieces with Babalawos. I have sold to 4 to 5 Babalawos.
How much have you made in the business?
The business is a set back to me, I have not made much. I attended LASU while I was doing the business. I studied accounting. I graduated this year February. I’m awaiting my result.
One of the hands I cut, I sold it to a Pastor in Sango at N24,500. They use it for ritual and make progress in their business.
Some will say they use it for their members in the church.
I also use for myself for soap and powder for my business to progress. It worked a bit for me. I don’t have house, car, I’m a tenant.
I used two leaves and part of skull to prepare medicine for somebody who travelled to India, to Germany and USA. I have lost contact with him. He is my friend. He did not pay me anything.
How do you feel being in police custody for dealing on human parts?
I feel bad being arrested for human parts.
For Oyebamiji Olalekan Wasiu, 40,
I’m from Ibadan, Oyo State.I live at 17, Ipetu Ijesha, Jankara, Ijaye, Lagos.
I was arrested for dealing in human parts. I have been in this business for 3 years. I’m a herbs seller. I sell human parts, I get supply from Kazeem. He calls me whenever he has human parts to sell. I have bought skull and flesh. I have not bought more than 4 to 5 skulls. I sell between N5,000 to N6,000. They use it to do charm against enemies disturbing somebody and family problems. I also use it to do medicine.
Do you still have human parts in your house?
I still have human meat which I cut into pieces in my shop at Oja-Oba.
How do you feel now?
I feel that when somebody is doing something wrong, one day, the game will be up.
How many children do you have?
I have 3 children.
Can you use any of their parts?
I cannot use any of them.
ABBAS
My name is Rasheed Opeyemi Abbas is 50 years old, I’m from Ikiru, Osun State. I live at 15 Ile-Ogbo Street, Ajegunle, Lagos. I was a star reader in Kano, in 2005 before I came down to Lagos. I’m an Alfa at Edarere Mosque, Ajegunle,near toll gate along Lagos Abeokuta Express road, Lagos
What do you use human parts for?
I used human head to cure madness. When I checked the star, I discover there was mass attack. After a week, he broke his mother’s head. I met other Alfa, we were there. I explained the problem. One of them told me that if I use 2 pieces of human skull and plantain leaves and mix it, it will cure the madness. I said how can I get it, Waidi was there. He said he will supply for N1,500.
I used it for the boy, the mother called me and told me he is now well and in school.
I deal in talisman and seal.
I search star to know people’s problem. Once you tell me your date of birth, I will search for it.
Akorede:
My name is Akorede Wasiu, I’m 30 years old, I’m from Sango Otta in Ogun State. I’m a native doctor. I live in Ita Ajana Compound in Sango, Ogun.
How do you get human parts?
I bought one human head for N4,000 around 2010. I bought it from Tantolohun. The head is not fresh. I have bought two heads. I use it for pregnant women who want to do operation. After applying they will not do operation again. I have done it for many women. I have only one car. I don’t collect money from people. It is after the work, people come to pay me. At times I consult the oracle whether to collect money or not. If it permits one to collect, I will collect, if otherwise I will not.I’m married with 4 children.
